Joy In The Dog Days

Joy In The Dog Days

Is it hot, or is it me? Do you know how the dog days of summer got its name? Surprisingly, it has nothing to do with our 4-legged friends. The answer lies in the night sky. This is the period when Sirius, the Dog Star rises. Sirius is part of the constellation Canis Majoris—the “Greater Dog”—which is where Sirius gets its canine nickname, as well as its official name, Alpha Canis Majoris. Phew! But the star is so easy to find. Sirius is the brightest star in the night sky.

With that said, it's the perfect time to address why more and more weddings are going to the dogs! Couples today are making sure their furry friends are on the top of their guest list, and why not?

Including your dog in your wedding can add a personal and heartwarming touch to your special day. With a bit of planning and preparation, your paw pals can be a cherished part of your celebration.

I've heard of canine companions serving as Ring Bearers or Flower Dogs, scattering petals along the way. They can be your Dog of Honor, standing by you, walking guests down the aisle, or accompanying the bridal party. Matching Ines Di Santo outfits? No problem. Just imagine the photo possibilities!

So if you're saying "I Do" with Fido too, we want your wedding to be stellar.
Love you to the stars and back, Veronica
